The Pulpit is Responsible.

I have been telling Pastors and Clergy members for a long time that the 501c3 tax exemption for Faithbased ministries and organizations is the Governments way of getting you to agree to its authority in the name of "Tax Exempt" status. This they say protects the group from violation of the First Amendment- 'Freedom of Religion" BUT it actually places that group under direct authority of the Government.

Because of this, too many of the clergy will not preach against political corruption or take sides on any electoral candidate for fear of violating this agreement with the Government. Let alone preach against immorality in office and impeachable "bad behavior".

The sad fact is the pulpits in America are filled with soft and sensitive preachers tickling ears and whispering false promises of which God never promised.

Charles G. Finney once made the following statement which confronts every clergyman whether professional or layman and hits them right between the eyes (as it did me).

"If there is a decay of conscience, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the public press lacks moral discernment, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the church is degenerate and worldly, the pulpit is responsible for it. If the world loses its interest in Christianity, the pulpit is responsible for it. If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it."

And God says: "If My people which are called by My Name, (1)shall humble themselves, and (2)pray, and (3)seek My face, and (4)turn from their wicked ways; THEN will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."- 2 Chronicles 7:14

The pulpit waits for others to repent to bring a new "Great Awakening" to this country. God waits for the pulpit to repent and then Mercy and Grace shall once again raindown.

I repent, will you join me? Comment on this blog if you do. I will pray for you and you pray for me and we all pray for eachother. "If we do not hang together we shall surely hang separately"- Thomas Paine.
