Constitutional First Principles: How to Use the Power of the Pen (Technology) to Restore our Republic

Things sure have “Changed” since 1776 and the Founding of American Liberty. I wonder, would the Founding Father's support what America has become in 235 years? You see, they WROTE this:

"When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation."

NOW, before you get the notion I am condoning the military takeover of our current administration- I am NOT! I don't think it is the time to do that, not yet! I do believe in GOYAA- “Get Off Your Armchair America! Get in the game, by starting to write, email, fax, or telephone, your Elected Officials and let them know personally what YOU believe is the right direction for OUR government. This is the strongest method as it is Individuals taking the time to speak their mind. You took the time to VOTE- take the time to WRITE/Contact these Representatives and tell them this:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.' - The Declaration of Independence

When you take time out of your busy schedule and tell them you KNOW why government is “Instituted” and that the direction we are going is Morally reprehensible, and any Virtuous leader would never pile up a mountain of debt for the next generation to deal with. That you are willing to follow Constitutional governance to accomplish whatever has to be done to eliminate this debt. That no longer should we help Foreign nations that do nothing to help themselves, that call on The U.S.A to dig them out from natural disasters or man made ones, call us to fight their fights, and deal with their failing Socio-economic ideals (Read SOCIALISM). We will no longer support Foreign oil purchased through any Alliance that wishes us harm. That we want the Feds to stay out of the Public Schools and issues of the CHURCH, all denominations of actual RELIGIOUS beliefs- NOT Politico-Religious IDEALS as ISLAM is! That government Constitutionally follow the ORIGINAL meaning of Freedom of Religion, Press, Speech, and Redress of Grievances. In so doing, We The People may once again teach of a balanced perspective of Creationism and Evolution to instill Virtue and Morals in our children from Head Start thru College, side-by-side if that is what it takes because TRUTH will ALWAYS overcome EVIL-always!

When you do that, ONLY then will the Elected Officials at all levels of the CORRUPT government BEGIN to listen to you. BUT if you go off half-cocked, in a rant and tirade. Shouting, cursing, “Filibustering” they will- and in my humble opinion should- ignore you because you have not done your homework and determined through personal research exactly what you believe and why! You have not gotten the information from your head to your heart! An impassioned appeal to Just and Moral reason is hard to ignore. “Give ME Liberty or give ME death!” - Patrick Henry

Keep in mind this is OUR government, and it got this way, because we forgot or were never taught, what “The Principles of Liberty” ARE and WHY.

The Principles of Liberty 1-10

Principle 1 - The only reliable basis for sound government and just human relations is Natural Law.

Natural law is God's law. There are certain laws which govern the entire universe, and just as Thomas Jefferson said in the Declaration of Independence, there are laws which govern in the affairs of men which are "the laws of nature and of nature's God."

Principle 2 - A free people cannot survive under a republican constitution unless they remain virtuous and morally strong.

"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations become corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters." - Benjamin Franklin

Principle 3 - The most promising method of securing a virtuous people is to elect virtuous leaders.

"Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt. He therefore is the truest friend to the liberty of his country who tries most to promote its virtue, and who ... will not suffer a man to be chosen into any office of power and trust who is not a wise and virtuous man." - Samuel Adams

Principle 4 - Without religion the government of a free people cannot be maintained.

"Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.... And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion." - George Washington

Principle 5 - All things were created by God, therefore upon him all mankind are equally dependent, and to him they are equally responsible .

The American Founding Fathers considered the existence of the Creator as the most fundamental premise underlying all self-evident truth. They felt a person who boasted he or she was an atheist had just simply failed to apply his or her divine capacity for reason and observation.

Principle 6 - All mankind were created equal.

The Founders knew that in these three ways, all mankind are theoretically treated as:
1. Equal before God.
2. Equal before the law.
3. Equal in their rights.

Principle 7 - The proper role of government is to protect equal rights, not provide equal things.

The Founders recognized that the people cannot delegate to their government any power except that which they have the lawful right to exercise themselves.

Principle 8 - Mankind are endowed by God with certain unalienable rights.

"Those rights, then, which God and nature have established, and are therefore called natural rights, such as are life and liberty, need not the aid of human laws to be more effectually invested in every man than they are; neither do they receive any additional strength when declared by the municipal [or state] laws to be inviolable. On the contrary, no human legislation has power to abridge or destroy them, unless the owner [of the right] shall himself commit some act that amounts to a forfeiture." - William Blackstone

Principle 9 - To protect human rights, God has revealed a code of divine law.

"The doctrines thus delivered we call the revealed or divine law, and they are to be found only in the Holy Scriptures. These precepts, when revealed, are found by comparison to be really a part of the original law of nature, as they tend in all their consequences to man's felicity." - William Blackstone

Principle 10 - The God-given right to govern is vested in the sovereign authority of the whole people.

"The fabric of American empire ought to rest on the solid basis of the consent of the people. The streams of national power ought to flow immediately from that pure, original fountain of all legislative authority." - Alexander Hamilton

So how are we to let Congress know what we think? Hire lobbyists to do the talking for us? How about a Special Interest Group with our “best interests” in mind- and we pay them to do it for us?? Foreign Interests?? NO! We The People GOYAA! You- Get Off Your Armchair AMERICAN! And put PEN to paper or dial a number or whatever form of communication you want. BUT get informed, research the information for verification, and think about it for no less than 24 hours, then formulate your presentation, and GOYAA!
